Golden Mediums are primarily used to alter acrylics in some way. However they are also useful as glues in collage, as texturing and background effects and for protecting your work. Below we have desribed each medium and some potential uses.
Gel
Mediums - gel
mediums can be used as a thickening agent for acrylics to create oil like
textures in painting. The soft gel is a great glue. Adheres dimensional items
firmly and well. A great
collage glue - works on even the most delicate papers and causes little warping.
Embed with beads, Pearl Ex, or other
items to make backgrounds. Gloss is good for working on glossy surfaces. Matte
is great for areas where you don't want any glue residue to show. Gel mediums
make great rtansfers in all different kinds of methods. Great for gluing niches
in altered books!.
