Polished Pigments

FRIDAY APRIL 11th: 2-5
In this class learn what polished pigments are, how they are used and experiment with different mediums. Ever made your own color of ink or embossing powder? Students will make 2-3 projects with various stamping techniques as well as complete a small guide and partial color chart of polished pigments! You won't believe what these powders can do!(apron and gloves recommended) $30.

Glass Ornaments
FRIDAY APRIL 11th: 6-8:30
You have seen such beautiful ornaments - not just for Christmas either. Hang some as window decor, from a favorite nook year round or create a set for every season! We will learn how to adhere polished pigments to the glass plus how to create different interior effects with a variety of mediums. Additionally we will embellish the exterior of our ornaments with rhinestones, hot glue and more polished pigments!!! Students can expect to complete 4 ornaments.(apron and gloves recommended) $30.

& Dimensional Surfaces
SATURDAY APRIL
12th: 10-1
Students will practice painting, stippling and embellishing with Polished Pigments on a variety of dimensional surfaces. This is your chance to get an in depth feel for the versatility and variety of techniques and surfaces that polished pigments can be used with as well as see how to paint with various stamped images. We will paint and stamp on stamp board, style stones, chip board, acrylic and dominoes. Additionally we will add fiber, beads and rhinestone embellishments. Students will complete several small pieces that can be used in other projects. (apron and gloves recommended) $30

SATURDAY APRIL 12th: 2 - 7
In this class, design and paint two large glass vases using polished pigments. One vase will feature exterior treatment that combines the use images, papers, and polished pigments as glass paints. Students will learn how to tackle composition on a dimensional surface to creat a lovely and personal peice of functional art, that is permanent when baked. The second vase will focus on treating the interior of the vessel. Second vase will require a liner in order to be used functionally. Instruction will include some basic paint mixing instgruction for polished pigments. Both vases are luminous and beautiful!!! Keep to grace your home or give as a gift! (apron and gloves recommended) $55

Coasters
SUNDAY April 13th: 10-1
Using Polished Pigments we will create glowing and unusual coasters. Students will combine stamped images to create 2, one of a kind art coasters, plus learn a special technique for creating two glossy marbled coasters taht match the stamped pair. Set of four will be completed in class. Art will be created on glossy ceramic tiles and stamped tiles are permanent when baked. Glossy coasters will be sealed. Add a felt bottoma nd finish the edges - voila! - useful and beautiful creations. Perfect for personal use or to give as a gift. (apron and gloves recommended) $28

SUNDAY APRIL 13th: 2-5
Students will explore several techniques
for using this Luminarte product line. Pigments will be combined with Simple
Solutions, used alone and mixed with other media for spectacular looking papers.
As many papers as possible will be completed in class. Learn many new ways
to interact with these high pigmented, super glittery powders. You won't believe
your eyes; from sheer shimmer to dimensional relief, these powders pop! (apron
and gloves recommended) $25
